OF PART-TIME STUDENTS’ SELF-GUIDED WORK ORGANIZATION

Abstract
Continuous improvement of education quality, renewal of its contents and forms of organization of the educational process are defined as the priority directions within the National Doctrine of education development. The increase of the role of students’ self-guided work over educational material, the strengthening of teachers’ responsibility for students’ professional advancement, education of their creative activity and initiative, which is going to be realized through the search of the contents, forms, methods and activization means of self-guided cognitive activity and to provide wider opportunities for person’s development, self-development and self-realization, enable the solution of the designated task. The essence of the part-time students’ self-guided work organization is revealed in the article. Different authors’ interpretations of the notion “self-guided work” have been presented; it is defined as: an organization form of the educational process, a teaching method, a means of education, a specific kind of the educational activity. The differences between the part-time students’ self-guided work organization and the full-time students’ self-guided work organization have been characterized; they are determined by the nature and means of pedagogical administration as well as the specificity of the part-time students’ contingent, time budget dedicated to self-guided work, peculiarities of the students’ educational process organization, a clear difference between some forms of the educational activity and reporting forms, territorial and temporal remoteness of students from an educational establishment, etc. It has been marked that the part-time students’ self-guided work is students’ independent determination of their work mode, labour measures spent for mastering the educational contents of every disciplines. The efficiency of the part-time students’ self-guided work organization by means of information technologies has been substantiated; it means that strong characteristics of the traditional system will be complemented and strengthened due to the use of the opportunities given by computer variants of accumulation, organization and information transfer. The use of new information technologies in pedagogical activity is grounded by the opportunities given due to the development and applied use of different tools enabling information organization. Teaching within the system of distance education, which traditionally has developed in combination with the elements of information tecgnologies, will enable the preservation of the achievements grounded by years of practice and provide the realization of the demand for educational services of a new education system intended for part-time students.
