THE ROLE OF A TEACHER IN PROVIDING OUT-OF-SCHOOL EDUCATION AS PART OF THE CONTINUOUS EDUCATION SYSTEM OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The upbringing of children and youth is a problem. The future of Ukraine depends of its effectiveness. At the present stage of educational reform in Ukraine the out)of)school education plays a special role in the spiritual, intellectual and physical development of the individual, the acquisition of knowledge, abilities, skills and meeting the needs for self) actualization. The significant role in education, social development, personality development belongs to out)of)school educational institutions, whose activities cover the free time of children and youth. These activities are based on voluntary involvement; person)centred approach to the interests and abilities of each pupil is multidirectional and multivariate. The modern out)of)school education is the education in your free time. The functioning and improving of the quality of the out)of)school education is due to the presence and determination of the components of the system, namely: legal, administrative, personnel, scientific)methodological, financial and logistical. The functioning of the out)of)school education is impossible without qualified personnel, as the out)of)school education is a purposeful process of learning systematic knowledge about the culture, nature, people, society. It also provides application of knowledge in practice, mastering the skills of creative activity. Therefore, the importance of staffing of the out)of)school education is one of the most important and crucial issues. After all, no curricula and textbooks, as pointed out by K. D. Ushinsky, substitute for what makes a teacher. The development of a complex of pedagogical abilities, namely: academic, didactic, organizational, communicative, expressive, perceptive, creative and special should take the significant place in the process of teacher training for out)of)school education.
