ON THE LEGA L STATUS OF THE COUNCIL OF NATIONAL SECURITY AND DEFENSE OF UKRA INE IN THE SYSTEM OF PROTECTION OF SOVEREIGNTY AND TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY OF UKRAINE

Abstract
The article notes that the functions and competencies of the national security Council and defense of Ukraine testify to the fact that this body has a leading role in the mechanism of ensuring state sovereignty, territorial integrity, constitutional rights and freedoms of man and citizen in Ukraine. Virtually no subject that is essential to ensure national security and defense of our country, can not be solved without preliminary consideration at the meeting of the national security Council and defense of Ukraine. It is concluded that the role of the national security Council and defense of Ukraine is difficult to overestimate. It is in the strategic management of national security, which is now the main area of effort, which directed the activities of the President of Ukraine.
