On the nature of uncertainty and its interpretations

Abstract

The paper presents an attempt to interpret the phenomenon of uncertainty in the context of thecomplexity and dynamics of contemporary organizations and their environment. The interpretationof uncertainty has been conducted within complementary frameworks, i.e. a behavioral,structural and processual one. A multidimensional interpretation of uncertainty allowed indicatingthe fundamental approaches for controlling uncertainty, understood as the essential componentsof contemporary management.
