Organization of student’s research activity in the discipline “Fundamentals of Scientific Research”

Abstract

On the basis of modern scientific research the state of elucidation of the problem of organizing research activities of students was determined. The article states that before the institutions of higher education, an important task arises, fulfilling the social order of society and meeting the socio-psychological needs of human in his quest for creative activity, to prepare initiative, creative professionals who are able to adapt independently to changing labor market conditions and quickly find rational solution based on existing material and information resources. It is noted that modern society demands from the graduate the ability to actively engage in creative work, to have effective methods of research work. The author sees the possibility of solving this problem with the effective and rational use of information and communication technologies in the organization of research activities of students in classes on discipline “Fundamentals of scientific research”. Particular attention is paid to the organization of independent work of students in the context of the choice of the topic for research and proof of its relevance. The ways of improving the organization of research activities of students with the help of information and communication technologies are considered. The advantages and disadvantages of creating mental maps are highlighted. The main texts checking services in the Ukrainian language are highlighted, including: Online Corrector, LanguageTool, Advego, Poetica, Test-the-Text, Draft, etc. It is noted that one of the areas in the fight against academic plagiarism is to identify it using software and services that set the percentage of uniqueness of the text, such as Advego Plagiatus and Etxt Antiplagiat. Also, there are plagiarized detectors for program code, for example: MOSS, JPlag, Sherlock (BOSS), CodeMatch. It is emphasized on the use of interactive teaching methods, which involves constructive involvement of students in the educational process.
