Abstract
The article analyzes the theoretical, legal and practical problems of the implementation of state policy in the sphere of circulation of drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors in Ukraine. The article analyzes the causes and trends of illicit drug trafficking in Ukraine. The formation on this basis of scientifically grounded provisions and recommendations on the improvement of the current legislation and practice of its application, proposals have been developed regarding ways to increase the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies in this area.
