Planning the Operation of a Hybrid Generation System in the Power System in a Multi-faceted Approach
Journal Title: Acta Energetica - Year 2017, Vol 30, Issue 1
Abstract
The paper presents the results of a multi-criteria analysis of the cooperation of a hybrid generation system (HGS) with the power system. The analysed system consists of wind turbines, photovoltaic panels and an energy storage cell – a PEM fuel cell. The paper defines and describes the decision criteria of cooperation, taking into account energy-related, economic and environmental aspects. Results of analyses carried out for two consumer energy profiles are included. The impact of the weight of adopted decision criteria on the final result of the multi-criteria analysis was analysed.

Ways of Improving the Reliability of Supply of Selected Important Municipal Customers in Municipalities
This paper reviews the most important ways to improve the reliability of supply of consumers, i.e. the increase in the number of directions of supply, use of grid and system automatic controls, and installation of distri...
Determination of Connection Capacity in the HV Closed Network by the use of a Black-box Optimization – a Case Study
The current legislation imposes an obligation on power system operators to regularly determine and publish connection capacities of transmission and distribution network nodes. Currently, the coherent node method is used...
Experimental Study of Higher Harmonics Content in Street Lighting System Current
Due to energy efficiency improvement requirements, street lighting system operators tend to reduce the electricity consumed by the lights themselves, and also minimize losses in the system. Smart lighting control systems...
Application of AHP Method for Comparing the Criteria Used in Lo-cating Wind Farms
The article presents a description and comparison of criteria used for choosing the location of a wind farm. The criteria include measurements of wind kinetic energy on a given location, location of wind turbines, locati...
Passive Safety Systems in Modern Nuclear Power Stations
The authors present operating principles of passive safety systems used in nuclear power plants using the example of the AP1000 plant. In particular, they describe the passive residual heat removal system and the passive...
