Pokrewieństwo teorii

Abstract
Kinship of Theories Kinship of Theories compares three theories in order to show their common conceptual matrix. The three theories under iscussion are (1) social contract theory of Thomas Hobbes and John Locke; (2) Claude Lévi-Strauss' theory organized around the contrast between nature and culture and the prohibition of incest; (3) American folk philosophy organized around the division of the universe into an order of nature and an order of law, and described by David 51 P. Bourdieu, Szkic teorii praktyki poprzedzony trzema studiami na temat etnologii Kabylów, tł. W. Kroker, Kęty 2007, s. 188. Pokrewieństwo teorii M. Schneider. These three theories are interpreted as different manifestations of the same myth/ideology which provides, above all else, conceptual tools by which people living on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean think about their societies. The interpretation casts some light on current political events such as Brexit and the outcome of the United States presidential election of 2016.
