Political corruption as a matter for scientific inquiry

Abstract
The article is devoted to elucidation of results of the research carried out by the author pertaining to the theoretical foundations of political corruption and the basic reasons for the existence of such a phenomenon in modern societies. The article analyzes modern approaches to the definition of the notion of political corruption and its main types. The manifestations of menace to the community, brought out by corruption are substantiated what concerns the sphere of public administration.
