PRECEDENT NAME «KAIN» IN THE MODERN GERMAN-SPEAKING JOURNALISTIC DISCOURSE

Abstract
The article deals with the precedent names as an important part of German linguistic culture. The biblical episode of fratricide is described from the point of view of replication theory. The genesis of the precedent name Kain is considered from the point of view of a replicative model of genesis. The main focus is on the actualization of the precedent signs of the name Kain, on its composites, as well as on direct nominations in the modern German-speaking journalistic discourse. The material was selected by the keyword search method in the electronic archives of the German weeklies "Bild", "Focus", "Spiegel", "Welt", "Zeit".
