PREVENTION OF WRITING INCORRECTNESS DEMONSTRATED BY THE PRESCHOOL- AGED CHILDREN WITH DEVIATIONS IN MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

A short review of the structure, forms, mental mechanisms, features and criteria of the speech irregularities ob- served among preschool-aged children is represented in the article. There have been outlined the possibilities and means of predicting difficulties with writing skills among the children demonstrating oral speech irregularities. There have been suggested the main trends in preventing the specific writing errors occurrence among the children of this category. They include the following: There have specified the formation of the inner utterance structure plan (inner programming) by means of: a) forming the intention, the image, the sense backbone of the utterance; b) mastering the transfer operations from the intention to the key words of the utterance (the sense guidelines) that is: the ability to select, unite and combine the language means; c) the formation of the grammatical prediction operations: the skill of consequent selecting possi- ble variants of the grammatical and syntactic arrangement of an utterance; the skill of comparing the predictions of arranging an utterance with its programme. The formation of the transfer operations from the sense guidelines and key words to the outer speech: а) the ex- tension of the sense guidelines (predictions) into the syntactic programme (the actualization of the speech experi- ence, the practical application of the rules of grammatical and syntactic extension); b) the extension of the syntactic programmes (the selection and combination of the word change and word formation); c) the formation, explanation and differentiation of the word meaning in the process of understanding the semantic correspondences by children; d) the selection and combination of the motional structures (motional programmes). The proposed system principle and its introduction into the logopedic practice of educating children with devia- tions in mental and physical development of the latter to acquire writing skills will contribute to the normal devel- opment of the specific links between the acoustic perception and the speech-and-motional function, between the phonetic skills and the phonemes formation, between the oral speech and its written form.
