Abstract
The article deals with the problem of developing the pedagogical creativity of the future primary school teachers as a prerequisite for improving the quality of their readiness for teaching the educational branch "Social Studies". The relevance of the problem is determined by one of the priorities of the New Ukrainian School – the comprehensive development of the schoolchild’s personality, his or her talents, abilities, competences, creativity, curiosity. Attention is drawn to the fact that the personality of the teacher plays an important role in forming the personality of the primary schoolchildren. The university teachers should create appropriate conditions for the preparation of such a teacher. The authors briefly provide an essential characteristic of the phenomenon under study. Pedagogical creativity is defined as the most important criterion for the qualitative forming of the personality of the modern school teacher, a necessary condition for his or her self-knowledge and development, characterized by a high degree of development of motives, characterological features and creative abilities. Involving students in productive creative activity while studying literary works on the subject "I Am in the World" is considered by the authors as an effective way of developing pedagogical creativity, a prerequisite for the manifestation of creative activity of a person, and also ensuring the further development of creative thinking of their pupils. The products of the students’ creative activity presented in the study are aimed at the full appreciation of the texts of different genres by primary schoolchildren in the lessons “I Am in the World”
