PRISON SYSTEM OF FRANCE: PERIODS OF FORMATION AND CURRENT STATUS

Abstract
In the article it is considered historical development of prison system of France. The author has studied and characterized its establishing stages. The legal principles of correctional institutions operating at present have been defined.
