PROBLEMS IN SOCIAL INTEGRATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN MULTICULTURAL FAMILIES

Abstract
The article examines and analyses the problems of the social integration of young people from families with a migrant background. The main aim of the work is to reveal and analyse the conditions and problems of social integration of young people from multicultural families. In the survey, we focus on families where both parents have a migrant background, often with different nationalities and religions. The migrant background determines multiculturalism in these families and status of parents, who are sometimes different to irreconcilability and live, separated. By analysing biographical data and a series of interviews with young people placed in a sheltered home, their problems are revealed, hampering their successful social integration. Risk factors are also revealed, which lead to inability to adapt and problems in adolescent behaviour. It has been found that individual factors are overlapping and mutually reinforcing. This leads to the low self-assessment of adolescents, the feeling of insecurity, anger, aggression, a desire to escape from reality, take alcohol and drugs, and other social manifestations. In order to achieve full social integration of young people from multicultural families, they need to receive differentiated moral and social support that compensates for the deficiencies in the family environment. There are also revealed some positive perspectives for social and pedagogical support and social integration of young people from multicultural families. Integration has been found to be highly dependent on how they adapt to life, and successful inclusion in education and the labor market is a guarantee of integration and social inclusion of a new culture.
