PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE AS THE MAIN DETERMINANT OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF LABOR POTENTIAL OF INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES

Abstract
Introduction. Under the current conditions of the development of industrial enterprises, requirements for the labor potential of the personnel are increasing, which includes such a characteristic as professional competence. Therefore, the important task is to study the issue of professional competence of staff as the main indicator and determinants of innovation development of labor potential at industrial enterprises. Methods. The methods of logical generalization, combination, analysis and synthesis, grouping, system and comparative analysis, graphical, monographic method are used in the course of research. Results. The approaches of domestic and foreign scientists concerning the interpretation of the terms “competency” and "competence" are considered for the disclosure of the essence of professional competence of the personnel of industrial enterprises, and their comparison is made. Determining the essence of professional competence, its characteristics are distinguished. The levels of competence are allocated to assess the degree of development of professional competence of the personnel of industrial enterprises. The professional competence of the personnel of industrial enterprises is defined as the main determinant of innovative development of labor potential of industrial enterprises, which should include a complex of modern professional knowledge, skills, values, motives, installations, psychophysiological and personal qualities of an employee, which provides significant reserves for the growth of social labor innovations, increasing the efficiency of work of the personnel and affect the state of labor potential of the enterprise and to ensure its competition inability, in particular, andthe enterprise as a whole. Discussion. Professional competence is an important component of the overall level of personnel training, which underlies the formation and development of innovative labor potential of industrial enterprises. The formation of labor potential of enterprises largely depends on the composition and structure of innovative competencies of employees. Further research will be aimed at the development and implementation of innovative programs for the development of professional competence of personnel, which will ensure conditions for improving their level and labor potential of industrial enterprises.
