Abstract
Insurance companies provide protection and support in cases of 68apin anunexpected68apfre, in cases where there is a 68apof income caused by death, old age, personal accidentsand / or illness, it is for this reason the importance of the proper functioning of a company.Insurance company. For this reason, the objective of this study was to develop a prototype ofthe procedures manual for the issuance of policies and supplements of Mapfre Atlas S. A. Insurancecompany located in the city of Guayaquil-Ecuador, this prototype is due to the lack ofguidelines for the processes related to the issuance of insurance policies. The study of theproposal of the ProceduresManual for the issuance of policies and supplements of Mapfre AtlasS.A..Insurance company. It was carried out under the perspective of positivism, with thequantitative paradigm, of a descriptive field modality. The applied methodology was descriptiveexplanatory research. As a data collection technique, the survey was used with a questionnaireof six closed questions to the personnel of the issuing department. A semi-structured interviewwas developed with a script of five open questions. The population is made up of seven officialswho work in the insurance issuance department of the company Mapfre Atlas S.A. Insurancecompany. Presenting as results a prototype of the procedures manual for the issuance ofpolicies, an adequate solution to be executed to solve the aforementioned inconveniences,optimizing the service provided by the company
