Abstract
Rise importance of the economy on the international stage has become in the post-crisis reality management priority in developing countries – including in Poland. Economic security of the country is considered as a key criterion for the development of initiative and implementing the innovation, contributing indirectly also to the escalation in regions. Creating competitive developmental conditions, promoting active social attitudes and the modernization of the technical-spatial infrastructure is an extremely important task from a point of view of the regional expansion. This article has a review character. The main purpose of the present article is attempt to analyze and evaluate assess the activities of local government in stimulating entrepreneurship in the selected region. The author has made multifaceted analysis of available literature position of discussed issues and also presented macroeconomic data and determinants of entrepreneurship in Kuyavian-Pomeranian.
