Abstract
The article describes a public lecture I. Luchitsky as an aspect of social work in Ukraine in the analyzed period, which he read to different audiences, in particular, in favor of the southern Slavs, for low-income students, for public libraries, various kinds of societies. Highlights the activities of I. Luchitsky in the organization of public lectures in Kiev and participation in the meetings of the Commission of public lectures.
