Quality Improvement as an Opportunity For an Organisation’s Success

Abstract

In the conditions of the closer and further environment’s changeability, organisations look for opportunities enabling them to remain in the market and to develop. They also look for ways leading them to the achievement of business perfection, which is closely connected with the quality. In the knowledge-based society, the quality is considered an important instrument of management as it facilitates the improvement of all areas of both the individual’s and the organisation’s activity. With respect to globalisation, quality is regarded as an important strategic objective. Simultaneously with intensifying competition for customers, one can observe a growing importance of the quality of knowledge, which influences the organisation’s success. In the process of developing the quality of products, services, information, management and life, skilful knowledge management plays a significant role as knowledge is an important intangible asset. Concentration on the quality improvement process in all areas of an organisation’s activity gives this organisation, functioning in conditions of discontinuity, an opportunity to succeed.
