Real-time monitoring of medical data via GPRS

Abstract

In this study, an embedded real time system was designed for the mobile phone to telemonitoring and checking the status of patients. The ECG, Oxygen Saturation in arterial blood and blood pressure signals were transferred out of the patient's monitoring equipment to Nokia12 Unit then they were sent through GPRS to be received by the mobile phone possessed by the physician who is in a different place from the patient, by which the physician can evaluate the patient's case, by this way, he can provide the necessary medical orders.
