Abstract
Fashion expresses how someone feels as an individual and how they want to be perceived by others. In the new globalized and technologically connected society, people may belong to various tribes at different times or simultaneously. The purchasing movement is a work of acculturation. It is from the choice of objects that the identity will come up, the one that the individual wants to be exposed to the world through. But if for financial reasons, this choice cannot be free, there is always the simulation: the symbolic character of the object is what will count. However, with the new environmental paradigm and the influence of marketing, the society has not found its way into the ethical and ecological solution yet. Meanwhile, other paths open up, such as the one of the architect and designer Eugene Tsui, which deals with fashion based on the biomimetics to reach the functionality and efficiency sought.
