A EDUCAÇÃO NO MUNDO DO TRABALHO: UMA REFLEXÃO SOBRE AS POTENCIALIDADES E LIMITES DA PEDAGOGIA TRANSDISCIPLINAR EM UNIVERSIDADES CORPORATIVAS

Abstract
A phenomenon that has been growing in major world economies, including Brazil’s, is the creation of Corporate Universities – CUs by large organizations as a way to deal with the asymmetry between the desired professional skills and those held by people in the job market. Contemporaneously, knowledge management, learning organizations and intellectual capital permeate not only academic reflections, but those of society in general, which have repercussions within the corporations and their CUs. This unfolds in reflections on which pedagogical approaches are suitable to the demands of contemporary life, and the transdisciplinary vision is one of the possible answers. It is observed that CUs take on an increasingly strategic role, extrapolating the formative role of functional competencies, reaching a diverse scope of management: knowledge, identity and organizational culture. This study discusses the role played by CUs in organizational strategy, notably in the policies of people management. Such reflections are based on the author’s experience as a CU educator for 10 years with the backdrop of the theories of Edgar Morin and Basarab Nicolescu.
