Региональный центр по работе с книжными памятниками в Томской области : история и современное состояние

Abstract
The article reveals prerequisites and specifi city of the creation of Regional Center for Work with Book Artefacts on the basis of the Department of Rare Books and Manuscripts of the Research Library of Tomsk State University (TSU RL). The stock of the Department, which was created in 1945, was initially formed in 1880 and based on many private book collections, received by the fi rst University created in Siberia. The development stages of the Department and its organizational, methodological and technical foundations are summarized. A special attention is given to the archeographical work as a peculiar source of replenishing the book stock with manuscripts and incunabulas. In 2013, the accumulated comprehensive experience of work with book artefacts allowed to accept the proposal of the Federal Center of the Russian State Library to create Regional center for work with book Artefacts in Tomsk region.
