Research and Application of Intelligent Management Technology for Metro Train Passenger Compartment Side Doors
Journal Title: Urban Mass Transit - Year 2025, Vol 28, Issue 3
Abstract
[Objective] As a critical system consisting of metro vehicles, the passenger compartment side door (shorten as PCSD) presents peculiarities of high failure rates and significant maintenance demands. To enhance their operational stability, it is necessary to monitor the state of PCSD in real time, so as to identify and solve potential faults in advance. [Method] An intelligent PCSD management system is established to facilitate the collection, transmission, and processing of various PCSD status data. First, the existing PCSD controllers are upgraded to monitor not only general status information such as door opening, closing, and locking, but also specific state parameters like door opening/closing time, door opening/closing force, and critical dimensions. The real-time status information is then transmitted via the vehicle-wayside communication system to a ground-based big data analysis system. Through analysis and comparison of the door historical data and data-driven big data, whether a door is in a suboptimal state is determined and potential faults are detected. Maintenance personnel can perform preventive maintenance of the doors based on fault prediction information. [Result & Conclusion] The intelligent management technology enables comprehensive monitoring of PCSD status, allowing for preventive maintenance and resolution of suboptimal conditions before faults occur. This approach reduces door failure rates and enhances the stability of door operations.
