Research progress of repetitive peripheral magnetic stimulation in the treatment of non-specific low back pain
Journal Title: Journal of Air Force Medical University - Year 2023, Vol 44, Issue 11
Abstract
Repetitive peripheral magnetic stimulation (rPMS) is a non-invasive and painless therapeutic technique which has a significant advantage of precise target. Recent studies have found that rPMS has a good therapeutic effect on non-specific low back pain (NLBP). The main mechanism may be normalizing abnormal tissues, preventing pain signals from entering the cerebral cortex, inducing brain remodeling and so on. The curative effect of rPMS is related to the shape, frequency, intensity of the coil and other factors. This paper reviews the research progress of rPMS in the treatment of NLBP in recent years, so as to deepen the understanding of rPMS and promote the clinical application of rPMS.
