RESPONSABILIDADE CIVIL DOS HOTÉIS

Abstract
Th is article aims to discuss the theories upon which the concept of civil liability is based, through a bibliographical review. From the theoretical analysis, one concludes that all tourism-related companies, especially hotels, are considered as responsible parties for any damage caused to a person, culpability notwithstanding. Th e research developed at the “Tecnólogo em Hotelaria” course of Faculdade de Tecnologia do Senac RS (Brazil), sought to identify which types of lawsuits are being brought to court against hotels. Preventive policies are defi ned based on the cases studied.
