RISKS IN AGRICULTURAL SECTOR AND THE NEED OF THEIR INSURANCE

Abstract
Introduction. Transformation processes in the agricultural sector necessitate property insurance farmers, since agriculture is one of the most risky areas. The need for insurance of risks in agriculture is one of the most important factors in ensuring effective management and customer satisfaction. Methods. The following methods are applied in the paper: dialectical, abstract and logical (for theoretical generalizations and forming conclusions); monographic (to highlight the views of scientists who investigated problems); historical and logical (to determine the problems and ways of further development). Results. The issues of the problems and prospects of insurance risks in the agricultural sector are highlighted in paper. There are determined the most effective means of protection and risk mitigation in agriculture. The basic classification of risk in agriculture is investigated. The basic financial and economic tools to protect property interests of agricultural enterprises in the production and processing of agricultural products are proposed in the article. Dicussion. Further areas of research in this subject can be specifics of forming techniques systemic approach to agricultural insurance that will provide a combination of the interests of all market participants of agricultural insurance.
