ROAD MAP OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BLACK SEA GAS-HYDRATES METHANE IN UKRAINE

Journal Title: Geologia i poleznye iskopaemye mirovogo okeana - Year 2018, Vol 14, Issue 3

Abstract

The Black Sea has significant potential resources of hydrated gas and is located in a region close to the export consumers of hydrocarbons. The article substantiates the need for purposeful studies on the development of gas hydrates in the West Black Sea basin. In order to study the scale of gas hydrate clus- ters and the development of technologies for the extraction of this raw material of the future, it seems expedient to create within its limits a stationary experimental test site in one of the deep-sea mud volcanoes.
