ROLE OF FORECASTING METHODS IN THE ASSESSMENT OF LOGISTICS RISKS OF MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISES

Abstract
Different approaches to obtaining forecasts of sales or demand for assessing logistic risks are considered in the article, depending on the level of novelty of the goods and the nature of the retrospective information. Depending on the novelty of the goods, they are proposed to be divided into three groups: new for the enterprise and the market; new only for the enterprise; not new either for the market or for the enterprise. For each group, there is a certain approach to choosing methods for forecasting sales or demand. For new products for the enterprise and the market, methods that do not have any retrospective sales information are used. For products that are well-known for a market or an enterprise, methods are proposed based on the analysis of retrospective trends.
