ROLE OF STRATEGIC PLANNING IN THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL AREAS IN THE REGIONS

Abstract
The article highlights the concept of planning and its relationship with forecasting. The role of strategic planning in the development of rural areas has also been explored. The main components of planning as a system are determined. As a result of the research, the algorithm for developing a strategy for the sustainable development of rural areas is well founded. The possibilities of local territorial communities in the course of implementation of the strategic plan for the development of rural areas are identified.
