Abstract
The article presents a brief overview of scientific legal literature, primarily the Ukrainian one, which analyzes information security as a political and legal phenomenon that takes in not only the notion of information protection, but also organizational, political, legal and other actions aimed at ensuring a sustainable, stable development of society and the state.
