RP- HPLC METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF LOSARTAN POTASSIUM AND ATENOLOL IN TABLET FORMULATION
Journal Title: Pharma Science Monitor-An International Journal Pharmaceutical Sciences - Year 2010, Vol 1, Issue 2
Abstract
This work is concerned with application of simple, precise, accurate and reproducible reverse phase high performance liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC) method for simultaneous estimation of Losartan potassium (LP) and Atenolol (AT) on RP C-18 Column (Microsorb-MV 100-5, 250 x 4.6 mm) using Acetonitrile: Methanol: 25 Mm Phosphate buffer (35:35:30) , pH adjusted to 3 with O- phosphoric acid as mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min and the detection wavelength was 225 nm. The retention time for LP and AT was found to be 5.40 and 2.44 min, respectively. Proposed method was validated for precision, accuracy, linearity range, robustness and ruggedness.
