RUSSIAN STYLISTICS AND STANDARDS IN TRANSLATOR AND INTERPRETER TRAINING

Abstract
The article deals with the textbook «Russian Language Stylistics and Speech Standards for Translators» that aims to introduce students to norms of the contemporary Russian language, to develop their linguistic and stylistic intuition and usage skills as well as to focus on special tasks designed to train professional translator skills. It is not only traditional tasks on lexical and grammatical stylistics, training on spelling and a punctuation, but also the special «translation» exercises directed on formation of various translation skills: on statement of the correct and accurate pronunciation, on development of random access memory and associative thinking, on ability to storing, on development of ability of fast and productive switching, on speed training, on building of an active stock of frequency lexicon, etc. Formation of the language identity of the student’s future of the translator has to be based on aspiration of the pupil to improve own speech culture not only foreign, but also the native language.
