Selecting lexical items on the theme “Transportation and tourism” to teach students in tourism a foreign language for specific purposes

Abstract
The article addresses the problem of selecting the word bank as a component of the syllabus aimed at foreign language training of specialists in tourism industry. Based on the findings of the content analysis the authentic job-related texts, the paper offers a set of most common lexical items to denote the issues of organization, classification, certification and management in tourism transport.
