SELECTION OF SAMPLES CONDITIONING PROCESS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF QUALIFICATION POLYMER MATRIX COMPOSITES FOR USE IN AIRCRAFT CONSTRUCTION

Abstract
Kind of the samples conditioning, used on the world according to the regulations of the qualifications of composite aerospace materials (FAA - Federal Aviation Administration, EASA - European Aviation Safety Agency, MIL-HNBK - Military Handbook), is presented in this article. The process of conditioning the samples in a climate chamber set temperature and humidity in accordance with the ASTM D5229 was carried out. Calculations were carried out in order to select the parameters of conditioning and a verification of the saturation of the samples. Types of chemicals that may affect the durability of the composite material have also been selected . The processes of conditioning according to the regulations applicable to the qualification of aerospace materials and conditioning process according to the ASTM D 5229 were summarized and compared.<br/><br/>
