SIMULATION OF TRANSIENTS OF GAS-DYNAMIC FLOW IN COMPRESSOR OF AVIATION ENGINE TV3-117

Abstract
Purpose. To perform simulation of the motion of the gas-dynamic flow in the compressor of the aircraft engine TV3-117 as an actual scientific-practical problem, the solution of which will allow to obtain the distribution of values of physical quantities in dynamics and to develop a method for diagnosing its technical state. Methodology. The work is based on the method of electrical analogy, which consists in the identity of the system of equations of motion of the gas-dynamic flow in the compressor of the aircraft engine TV3-117, obtained on the basis of the theory of motion of liquids and gases, and telegraph equations of a long line when introducing equivalent parameters. Results. As a result of the solution of the set task, with the help of the developed mathematical model, a graph of pressure distribution was obtained with a sharp closure of the air transfer valve, which is an information criterion for determining the technical condition of the compressor in the presence of a malfunction of the air transfer valve. A method for determining the transients of the gas motion in the compressor is developed, which is based on the analogy between the equations of motion and continuity and telegraph equations of the long line, which allowed to introduce the compressor site in the form of a sequential RCL-circle, and the process of opening-closing of the air transfer valve – as a transition process in and obtain an analytical expression, by which the degree of impact of the gas-dynamic impact on the functioning of the aviation engine TV3-117 in real-time is determined. Originality. The scientific novelty of the results obtained is as follows: the method for diagnosing the technical state of aviation gas turbine engines, including the TV3-117 aircraft engine, has been further developed, which differs from existing ones in that it will allow diagnosing the state on the basis of a mathematical model describing the movement of air in the compressor aircraft engine TV3-117, which will determine the probability of malfunction of the air passage valve, which will eliminate the phenomenon of surging. Practical value. The developed method can serve as one of the blocks of the intellectual expert system that will make a decision regarding the technical condition of the aircraft engine in flight modes automatically and provide the crew in-formation on the possibility of further aircraft movement. The task of developing an intellectual expert system can be effectively solved using the mathematical apparatus of neural networks, since its application raises the reliability and accuracy of the classification of modes, identification, control, diagnostics, time series analysis (forecasting), debugging engine parameters, etc., the quality of its decisions.
