Abstract

The article deals with the problem of history and definition of slang. In the new millennium, the population of Ukraine and especially young people have become dependent on technological progress and mass culture. Inherent separation of culture on society to elite and mass increased and further delineated based on language (colloquial) expressions. Massification occurs in the modern Ukrainian language. That is the simplification of vocabulary, which in terms of structuralism, performs a special symbolic function of rapid semantic perception and understanding. Behind, this massive loan of jargon and vernacular dialects (even – from the mat), as well as many Americanisms. Ten or twenty years are a negligible period for language development, but there are periods in history when the rate of linguistic change is greatly increased. Changes were made the language itself, and in the first place, the conditions of its use. If you use linguistic terminology, it is possible to talk about changing in the language situation and the emergence of new types of discourse. Human communication from the seventies to the nineties might well have ended communicative failure due to a simple lack of understanding of language and possibly incompatibility of linguistic behavior. Essentially, over the Ukrainian language was held terrific experiment in scope and results of sociolinguistic. Two major social shakes – revolution and reorganization are affected not only people, but also the language. Under the influence Ukrainian language is changed, and, moreover, it deliberately influenced by power, because its language was a powerful tool. Changes in the language of its social causes and consequences are one of the most interesting topics of modern science.
