Solvothermal Synthesis and Optical Property of PbTe Nanocrystals

Abstract
Lead telluride ( PbTe) nanocrystals were synthesized by solvothermal reaction method.The structure and composition of PbTe nanocrystals were characterized.The effects of reaction temperature on the morphology was investigated.The surface defect states of Pb Te nanocrystals were analyzed by optical properties test. The analysis results show that the product obtained at 160 ℃ is Pb Te single crystal particles with chemical integral ratio which belonges to face centered cubic space group.The particles are cubes with 20 nm length, which have high purity and good crystallinity. The strong UV-visible absorption spectrum band of Pb Te nanocrystals are observed from 400 nm to 580 nm, and the photoluminescence emission peak at about 825 nm, which verify the little surface defects.
