SOUND’S ATTACK, ARTICULATION AND FUNCTIONS OF THE TONGUE WHEN PLAYING TROMBONE

Abstract
The article examines and studies the issue concerning various types of sound’s attack; interprets the notion of «articulation»; defines functions of the tongue in the process of sound extraction when playing trombone; provides methodical and practical advice with regard to exercising the technique of double and triple sound’s attack; considers one of the ways of sound’s attack – «fricative attack»; defines typical defects at the sound’s attack and provides practical recommendations for overcoming drawbacks.
