SPIRAL SILENCE AS FACTOR OF INFLUENCE ON THE PUBLIC OPINION

Abstract
The publication reveals the main points and practical significance of the theory of the spiral of silence in the modern world. The main mechanisms of influence of the theory on public opinion in various spheres of public life are considered. Also, examples of the use of the spiral of silence in today realities, in particular, in political activity, are given. The possible consequences and results of application of the theory in the state administration for a civil society as an essential phenomenon and a means of influence or manipulation are analyzed.
