Abstract
The choice of translation strategies of protocol diplomatic discourse is determined by its discursive (author, recipient, functions), component (intention, subject) linguistic features of the original text. The structural invariant protocol includes a block of initial formulas, block arguments and block the final formulas. Set of discourse markers inherent in the protocol statement promotes logic and clarity. These include special terminology, collection of sample phrases, cultural and compositional structures. When translating texts of protocol the choice of language means is determined by the rules of diplomatic communication and the protocol of the target language. As the translation strategies used replacement methods, permutations, paraphrase, elimination, addition of linguistic units.
