STATE OF THE TEACHERS’ AND FUTURE PHYSICAL CULTURE TEACHERS’ PREPAREDNESS FOR THE FORMATION OF THE BASIC SCHOOL PUPILS’ SPORT LEADERSHIP QUALITIES

Abstract
Some diagnostic results regarding the preparedness state of the teachers and future teachers of Physical Culture for the formation of the basic school pupils’ sport leadership qualities have been presented in the article, the diagnostics being conducted by means of the methods of testing and documentation analysis. The data received as the results of testing the teachers and future teachers of Physical Culture have been given in compliance with the levels of formation of the cognitive and operational components constituting the preparedness for the formation of the basic school pupils’ sport leadership qualities in the process of team-and-game sport activities. The majority of the teachers of Physical Culture demonstrated a low level of the formation of the cognitive component constituting the preparedness for the formation of the basic school pupils’ sport leadership qualities – 85 people or 71 % of the respondents. 35 teachers of Physical Culture or 29 % of the respondents showed an intermediate level of the formation of the cognitive component constituting the preparedness for the formation of the basic school pupils’ sport leadership qualities. None of the respondents demonstrated a high level of the formation of the cognitive component constituting the preparedness for the formation of the basic school pupils’ sport leadership qualities. The undergraduate students demonstrated a rather low level of the formation of the cognitive component constituting the preparedness for professional activity aimed at forming the basic school pupils’ sport leadership qualities. The majority of the respondents (100 people or 77 %) demonstrated a low level of awareness regarding the formation of the basic school pupils’ sport leadership qualities; 30 students or 23 % of the respondents showed an intermediate level of the formation of the cognitive component constituting the preparedness for the formation of the basic school pupils’ sport leadership qualities; none of the undergraduate students-respondents demonstrated a high level of the formation of the cognitive component constituting the preparedness under study. The results regarding the formation of the operational component of the future Physical Culture teachers’ preparedness for the formation of the basic school pupils’ sport leadership qualities do not differ greatly from the results demonstrating the formation levels of the cognitive component: most teachers of Physical Culture demonstrated a low level of manifestation of the designated component – 58 % of the respondents. 50 teachers of Physical Culture or 42 % of the respondents showed an intermediate level of the formation of the operational component constituting the preparedness under study. None of the respondents demonstrated a high level of the formation of the operational component constituting the preparedness for the formation of the basic school pupils’ sport leadership qualities. There has not been identified any essential difference between the formation levels of the operational component constituting the undergraduate students’ preparedness for the formation of the basic school pupils’ sport leadership qualities and those ones demonstrated by the teachers of Physical Culture who currently work. None of the undergraduate students demonstrated a high level of the formation of the operational component constituting the preparedness under study. 40 people or 31 % of the students showed an intermediate level of the formation of the operational component; 90 people or 31 % of the students demonstrated a low level of the formation of the operational component constituting the preparedness for the formation of the basic school pupils’ sport leadership qualities.
