Journal Title: Knowledge International Journal - Year 2018, Vol 26, Issue 2

Abstract

The study draws attention to the still-life in art education in secondary school. Studying it in all school classes and stages shows the relevance of the problem of artistic literacy and student development. The basic principles of shaping are flattened, decorative and volumetric, which are put to attention when dealing with different issues and tasks in relation to the genre. It is an object of study in the primary, lower and upper secondary schools, in terms of fine arts and especially graphics and painting. Still life can be depicted with different materials and techniques that differentiate between traditional and non-traditional, pure and mixed, easy and more difficult to master. Their specifics, the consistency in the technology and the stages of construction of the graphic and the pictorial work, the means and the possibilities for realization of the ideological and artistic design, the aesthetic impact of the different techniques are the subject of consideration. In the study are mentioned the most used materials and techniques as part of the curriculum content of the learning problem of still life, in view of the psychological and age possibilities and the preparation of the students. In this connection, the degree of complexity of the practical pictorial tasks in the lower and upper secondary schools, in the transition from the flattened-decorative to the volume-spatial way of construction, is highlighted. The three-dimensional design of the deep objects is done through the laws of the linear and aerial perspective and reflection of the elements of lightning, which represent an emphasis in the training for the 6th and 7th grade. The study of the perspective phenomena logically begins with the problems of the compositional structure, the change of the objects in the nephrontal position, the modeling of the volume through the elements of the lightning, first with a pencil drawing, then with picturesque materials, expressions and techniques.
