Strategies Of Developing Information Policy In Ukraine: Historical, Political and Theoretical Aspects

Abstract
The issue of introducing an effective public information policy is becoming more and more popular in the context of globalization and the increasing role of information as well as its free circulation within the country and abroad. The article deals with the essence of information policy, examines its current state, indicates the problems in the information area of the State. Moreover, it analyzes the concept of information policy that is formed in the context of globalization and characterizes the main directions of development and ways of improving the information policy of Ukraine. Two main approaches are formulated that help us to understand the concept of «information policy». The national information policy has to support the growth production of informatization, telecommunications, information products and services and in the same time effective demand on them. Undoubtedly, the practical implementation of state information policy in Ukraine in modern conditions requires wide psychological support campaign of the main provisions of the public, clarification of its social orientation and proves its validity.
