СУЧАСНІ РИЗИКИ ТА ПРОБЛЕМИ ПРОФЕСІЙНОЇ ПІДГОТОВКИ ПЕРЕКЛАДАЧІВ-РЕФЕРЕНТІВ

Abstract
The paper gives an account of some external and internal risks which occur under the influence of social and economic factors and have an impact on the effective activity of educational institutions irrespectively of the field of study. The risks in the sphere of professional training of translators and interpreters are also specified. It is highlighted that stiff competitiveness between universities that train translators and interpreters in Ukraine requires improvements of educational facilities; high qualified academic teaching staff (with professional translators and interpreters); updated curricular, courseware and teaching aids. During the training course it is necessary to develop students’ language skills along with their information competency and skills of work with CAT-systems. The practical task orientation of study, formation of professional ethical skills and increase of students’ motivation are among the most urgent problems. It is suggested that some of the risks could be overcome by studying the abroad experience of best universities.
