Abstract
In terms of historical text readings, the language of words, idioms, proverbs, words, etc. structures are separate issues worth researching. Text readings also shed light on the changes in the sound and meaning in the words taken up to shed light on different subjects related to Turkish vocabulary. It is possible to follow the sound changes of the words from the past to the present, the way they are used, the changes of meaning and the subtleties in historical texts. Scanning Dictionary (Tarama Sözlüğü) is an important dictionary based on witnesses taken from the texts of Old Anatolian Turkish. For this reason, Turkish language and literature researchers often apply to Scanning Dictionary. This dictionary contains many witnesses from the Süheyl ü Nevbahâr masnavi. In the texts of Old Anatolian Turkish, there are many Arabic words that have undergone phonetic changes. Some of the Arabic words that have been phonetically changed in the texts of the Old Anatolian Turkish can be confused with the Turkish words and can be similar to the sound that may cause misleading. In such cases, there may be problems or inaccuracies in the reading and interpretation of the words in question. In this article the word of the kazılu, which was misunderstood both in Suheyl ü Nevbahâr and Scanning Dictionary and also which was witnessed under the wrong item is emphasized. In addition, the sound events, the structure and meaning of the word kazılu are emphasized.
