SYNTACTIC CONVERGENCE AS STYLISTIC REALITY (ON THE MATERIAL OF AUTHENTIC EMOTIVE PROSE)

Abstract
In the article convergence as one of stylistically potential syntactic resources is elucidated. Functions of stylistic convergence are analyzed. The mechanisms of the use of homogeneous parts of the sentence on the pages of English literary texts are investigated; their emotive and expressive potentialities are emphasized. The potential of stylistic enumeration in performing artistic and imaginative interpretation; in realizing deep and voluminous description or vice versa, its concretization and more precise definition; in getting broad generalization; in creating dynamic narration is determined. The variations of stylistic pattern of blocks of homogeneous parts of the sentence used by the authors in authentic fiction are explored.
