Syntectical means of objectivation of conceptual opposition LIFE – DEATH in the English gothic novels

Abstract
The article is focused on iconic means of representation of the opposition LIFE – DEATH at the syntactic level. It is proved that the most effective means of representation are polysyndeton, asyndeton, antithesis and parallel constructions. With the help of these constructions the main peculiarities of the concepts under study are revealed.
