Taking advantage of foresight studies’ outcomes to SUPPORT strategic decisions in Corporations

Abstract
The implementation of foresight projects financed from the structural funds gives Polish enterprises a chance to apply their results in elaborating corporate strategies and master plans. Companies that use chemical technologies can benefit from the results of over ten projects carried out recently within the ERDF-financed Operational Programmes Increased Competitiveness of Enterprises (2005-2007) and Innovative Economy (since 2008). The results of these projects are provided usually in form of trends and scenarios related to technologies, markets and environmental issues. In this paper we will show how these results can be applied in strategic planning in the chemistry sector, in particular in technological and R&D roadmapping.
