TEXT SEMIOSIS AND ITS SEMIOTIC STYLES

Abstract

The text is considered as an object of semiotic study. The article highlights levels of the text study, the stages of its semiosis and the semiotic styles of the text belonging to different historical epochs and literary directions. From a semi- otic point of view, the text is a message formed by a sequence of characters and is constructed according to the rules of the sign system, a semantic unit that matters and performs a certain function. As a product, it is synthesized and can be presented systemically. Today, the text as a semiotic system is studied in three disciplines: textology, hermeneutics and poetry. Themes of the text are ethical, religious, scientific and aesthetic paradigms. All themated in the text is included in the concept of “content plan”. Under the “content plan” we understand all the transformations made in the text with different paradigms. Under the “plan of expression” we mean a unitary artistic image that has not yet passed the stage of interpretation; more precisely, semiotic form; which, as an implementation of the author's idea, is for the author himself and for users an intentional object that provokes the construction of the image. The study of the text using the semiotic approach is characterized by the allocation of the following levels: semantic, syn- tactic, pragmatic, level of denotactic, morphetics, syntagmatics and evolution. The semioisis of the text is structured as follows: 1. Actualization of the plan of expression: a) constructing the image; b) synthesizing its essence by comparison with different paradigms. 2. Analysis of the content plan: a) Abstraction of the entities of the image; b) the distinction between paradigmatic content and corresponding transformations. 3. Analysis of the artistic subject: a) interpretation of aesthetic innovations and aesthetic content in general; b) inter- pretation of ethical; religious or scientific innovations. In a semiotic style, distinguish: paradigmatic-traditional, paradigmatic-non-traditional, nonparadigmatic-traditional, non-paradigmatic-non-traditional text. The first two styles are defined as “noumenal”, the last two – “phenomenal”.
